Jiwa Alam Boat

The concept of this boat combines comfort, space and simplicity.

When sailing all the year round in coral seas a boat must have a shallow draft, and must be very strong to be able to stand an unscheduled grounding, the shape of the hull must be appropriate also to ground without trouble, Jiwa Alam was made to be able to sail among coral reef so not to miss the most beautiful places and anchorages in Indonesia.
In the tropics the sun is very strong, we have a cover sundeck with panoramic views to enjoy the sunset and chill in the beam bags or watch the stars in the comfortable outdoor beds.

One of the main attractions of sailing is to live in a clean and unpolluted environment, but to keep on schedule with the chart trip, most of the time we cruise with motor.

Noise and exhaust fumes are definitely a form of pollution, Jiwa Alam has its SOLAR POWER SYSTEM which give the guest full electrical power 24 hours on. We also have a noiseless genset to keep the cabins cool at night.

The Cabin Room

Up to 8 pax. All cabins have their own bathroom.
3 Inside (toilet, shower & basin) & 1 upper deck (shower & toilet).

Meet The Owner

Eduardo Salgado

– For over a decade, Eduardo lived and did business in Bali, Indonesia, building a reputation in hospitality through his boutique hotel, Villa Karisa, and three additional villas.

– In 2016, he brought that same spirit into boat charters, learning to navigate and captain under Philippe Petiniaud — an ex-Olympic and America’s Cup sailor with fifty years of sailing experience. His boat, Jiwa Alam, was built by Petiniaud himself in 2015.

– A lifelong surfer and board rider, Eduardo based his tours in southeast Indonesia, running everything from surf charters to leisure trips through Flores and Komodo National Park, and was well respected in the community — among boat owners, villagers, and harbor staff alike.

– SAMA SAMA Cruises worked alongside Eduardo on many trips over the years and remained close to the family, who entrusted them with taking over the operation.

– SAMA SAMA has been in the boat business in Bali for the last 20 years, and Rudy, at the helm, is an avid surfer himself — carrying forward the same passion for the sea that built Jiwa Alam’s story.

– Onboard, Jiwa Alam runs with a crew of five: a captain, a mechanic, a chef, a deckhand, and a surf guide who leads you to the best spots along the way.
